Everyone loves great guac and it doesn’t get any better than these tried and true recipes! No matter what your personal taste level—wild or mild—be sure to check out these tasty variations (featured at ISC’s 2018 World Bash), and don’t hesitate to add your own personal spice to the blend.
Traditional Mexican Guacamole
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2-3 jalapeño peppers, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- ½ teaspoon oregano seasoning (optional)
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Mash avocados in a bowl with a fork
(or potato masher) until chunky.
- Mix tomatoes, onion, jalapeno peppers,
and lime juice into mashed avocado until
well combined; season with salt and oregano.
Authentic Guatemalan Guacamole
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- ¼ cup white onion, finely chopped
- ½ tsp oregano seasoning
- Juice of 1 medium lime (about 2 Tbsp)
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Mash avocados in a bowl with a fork (or
potato masher) until chunky.
- Mix in chopped onions and oregano.
- Add lime juice and salt to taste. Mix to
combine and serve.
Mango Avocado Salsa Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1mango;diced
- 1medium avocado;diced
- ½ medium red onion;chopped
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 medium lime (about 2 Tbsp)
- Pinch ofsalt and pinch of black pepper
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, combine diced mango,
avocado, finely chopped red onion and
chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze 2 Tbsp of fresh lime juice over
the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper
to taste. Toss gently to combine and serve.
Easy Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe avocados; peeled and pitted
- Juice of 1 medium lime (about 2 Tbsp)
- 1-2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- A large pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Mash avocados in a bowl with a fork
(or potato masher) until chunky.
- Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the top
and mix in minced garlic. Sprinkle with
salt to desired taste.
- Mix to combine and serve.
